We explain to children in a fun, playful, and easy-to-understand way how their teeth work and why it’s important to take good care of them.

Teething and Nutrition

In this course, we’ll explore how proper nutrition affects the teething process and your child’s overall comfort. Together, we’ll go over which vitamins and minerals are essential for tooth growth, which foods can help soothe sore gums, and what to avoid. We’ll also share practical tips on suitable soft or cooling foods and explain why it’s important to limit sugary drinks and sticky snacks starting from the very first teeth.

We’ll also demonstrate practical techniques, games, and communication strategies that help calm young patients and turn a dental visit into a natural and positive experience.

Does it include education for parents?

Absolutely—the program is primarily aimed at parents as well, because they play a crucial role in shaping their children’s oral hygiene habits and oral health. During the course, they’ll receive practical tips on how to guide their children toward proper dental care and how to handle specific situations at home.

Is the course held in a dental setting?

Yes – our educational center is equipped just like a real dental office. Children can handle the instruments and see what a patient’s examination is like.

Is this a one-time course, or does it consist of several consecutive lessons?

The sessions are not designed as a fixed series; instead, we always tailor them to the client’s specific needs. This means a child can attend a single session or come back multiple times—for example, if they are preparing for their first initial examination, a procedure using nitrous oxide, midazolam, or general anesthesia. The goal is for the child to leave feeling prepared and calm.

What is SKUSTO, and how does it differ from standard dental care?

SKUSTO is an educational center created to help children (and their parents) prepare for a visit to the dentist’s office. This isn’t traditional dental care—here, children can safely try everything out, overcome their fears, and learn good habits that will make every future treatment easier for them.

What is the recommended age for this course?

These classes are ideal for children starting around age 2, when they begin to develop their first dental care habits. We tailor the program to the child’s age and specific needs so they feel comfortable and can learn at their own pace.

Will this help the child overcome their fear of treatment?

Overcoming the fear of dental treatment is one of the main goals of our educational center. We explain to the children what to expect and let them practice beforehand, and thanks to the positive experience they have at our center, the risk of anxiety or fear during the actual treatment is significantly reduced.
