What does the course cover?
The course has a practical focus. You will practice all the skills in real-life situations and scenarios.
Act
In this course, we’ll walk you through, step by step, how to recognize when a child has stopped breathing or their heart has stopped, and how to respond correctly and safely. We’ll teach you basic first aid procedures, provide hands-on CPR training, and show you what to do until emergency services arrive. We’ll focus on simple, easy-to-understand techniques that any parent can master, because a quick response can save a life.
Assess
We focus on how to recognize the signs of life-threatening conditions in children. We will teach you how to identify them correctly and take the necessary steps in a timely manner to ensure the child’s safety and provide immediate care until professional help arrives.
Save
We will teach you how to properly administer first aid for injuries, burns, or allergic reactions in both children and adults. We will demonstrate practical procedures, safe techniques, and quick interventions that can minimize the consequences and save lives until professional help arrives.
Resuscitate
You will learn how to properly and effectively perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on a child or adult. We will practice the technique, speed, and correct steps so that you are prepared to act safely and effectively until the emergency medical services arrive.
Bring back to life
You will learn how to properly use an automated external defibrillator (AED) and master procedures that can significantly increase the chances of survival in the event of sudden cardiac arrest. Through hands-on practice, you will gain confidence and a head start in critical situations where every minute counts.
