Course Introduction

Who is the course for?
The course is intended for the general public, parents, teachers, school staff, sports coaches or anyone who wants to learn how to react in crisis situations. Children and adults will learn how to take care of themselves and their loved ones in the event of an accident, injury or health collapse.

What will you learn?
The course will focus on basic first aid principles and advanced techniques. Participants will learn how to:

  • Provide first aid for injuries, burns or allergic reactions
  • Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
  • Respond to respiratory or cardiac arrest
  • Recognise signs of life-threatening conditions
  • Use a defibrillator (AED)

The course is practically oriented. You will practice all skills in specific situations and scenarios.

Course Supervisor – MUDr. David Doubek

MUDr. David Doubek is an expert with more than 20 years of experience in the field of anaesthesiology and emergency medicine. After graduating from the Second Faculty of Medicine of Charles University, he worked at prestigious institutions such as the cardiac anaesthesiology clinic at IKEM or the head of the post-operative department at the Hospital na Homolce. At the same time, he worked at the Medical Rescue Service of the Ústí and Liberec Regions and for 8 years he was the head of the Prague City Emergency Rescue Service.

Patient safety, friendliness and friendly atmosphere are the basic values for him, which he translates into teaching first aid.
